New AC replacement....cheap!...>>

For those of you not on the Defender Deal emails, it's a worthwhile thing to sign up for. I was looking to (eventually) replace my current 25 year old Mermaid system, and low and behold this deal landed in my email box this morning. Blemmed Webasto FCF Platinum (their lastest design) reverse cycle units new in the box at an unbelievable price ($899 for 12K BTU). Another $100 for 16K BTU's.
$60 bucks shipping and on the way!

Wow. That is cheap. I just spent $1400 on one. My bedroom AC is like 10 years old. Think I will get one of these for backup when it fails.

Thanks for the heads up!

It’s kinda funny, A few months ago spent hours shopping for a new AC but didn’t pull the trigger and purchase. I received what was called the Active Captain Defender special. For the Air cond. reviewed on line and put it my “shopping basket” noticed that now had 2 items in the basket.... both the same product (one reportaly has paint defects) but was about a boat buck cheaper. A 16,000 is on the way to SW Florida $1,065.00 including shipping. Any one looking for a Lunaire 16,000 cools and heats fine the 3 knob control is failing.

Pulled the old Mermaid, and dropped in yesterday. Just need to do the electric hook-ups and she's done...

Fired up like a charm. Multispeed blower, Humidity setting, etc...I feel like I've jumped ahead decades (lol...I have!) Output Temp 25 degrees below ambient. This thing cools!
