That's it? You want the whole thread to yourself? You don't want to see anybody elses favourite sunrise / sunset photo's?

Holy Crap, Larry! That's amazing! Good composition.

Didn't we have a sunset thread a few years back? There were some incredibe shots posted in one of those threads. Just can't look right now. Maybe someone else will find it first.

Thanks, Menzies.

You guys want these two threads combined? They have some vague similarities.

Alright!!!

How's about we tighten up the parameters (for those that have posted their all time favourites) and now post "our most recent" ones?

Here's a sunrise/moonset on the way down to take Badger out for a couple hour spin in order to make the engine all nice and warm;

That doesn't count as it is neither a sunrise or a sunset.

Look closely... dark horizontal band in center of photo is strip of land. Sky at sunrise is a given at top... as is the sunrise reflection off water at bottom.

sunrise/sunset

Thought I'd try to share some of both, bear with me as some will be separate posts.
1st is moon rise over the Potomac (OK, not the sun).
Next is a sunset on Glebe Creek, just off the Potomac.
Then a couple of Potomac River sunsets

sunrise/sunset

Teachers always said I couldn't follow directions.
That last pic above is a sunrise coming out of the Miami River headed toward Government Cut; moving a 122 Oceanfast to the Lauderdale show last fall.
next is a moon rise in Lauderdale a day or two after Sandy formed and headed north
And last is a sunset in Seattle, younger daughter took it, not sure how she's in the foreground.

Sometimes, after weeks of clear skies, sunsets can be unsettling...Betteridge Inlet, Campania Island, north coast BC;
