Aside from the fact I have no life, am a self appointed wharfinger and quite nosey...

I watched ASD leave and Touch of Grey come in, but otherwise I miss a few.

Just what is it you are asking?

Looks nice a nice vantage point. Great view. Watching the water and boats sounds like a pretty good life to me.

Oh, I see, you think I'm a homeless guy camped out on the seawall.

Those pics of ASD were from walk right at the entrance to Port Sidney.

Did you get a spot in Victoria for this weekend?

Nothing available this weekend. Not surprising given the weekend and Swiftsure. We will spend a few days somewhere in the Sound. Lots of places to see.

I bet if he came Thursday he might even get a mooring.
Vessel size guidelines for mooring buoys:
Up to 15 metres with winds under 30 knots

There are a couple of fairly regular sailboats who hook between the two piers in Sidney.

Years ago we were tied to a mooring buoy at Sidney Spit, with a Catalina 30 sailboat tied to the next buoy. After a fairly rough night, not terrible, we got up and noticed that the Catalina was tied to a different buoy further away.

We found out that the line connecting the buoy to the anchor has parted; in fact it was stretched out on the beach for all to see. Have never used their buoys since.
