Memorial Day weekend

I hope all of you are experiencing as nice a weekend as I am. Sitting in a quiet anchorage after a very nice day with the family. Unusually nice weather today.

Moping around the house because I'm home and my boat is in Portland geting new upper canvas done.

A friend is going to help me bring it upriver. We're taking him and his Admiral to lunch today so I can run through some things with him. After that we're having my wife's kids and a couple of grand kids over for dinner and to swim.

Rest In Peace my brothers and sisters, Ill toast to ya a bit later.

Good point. As is my usual custom, I offer this link to a simple (and very old) web page about my uncle after whom I was named.

http://davidhays.net/dsagehays/dsagehays.html

Here is a letter, written by the author quoted in my link who served with my uncle. He was writing to another uncle telling him some more about his big brother.

Finally, a couple of photos. In the first he is kneeling on the left, in the second is on the right.
