Just made an offer on this new listing.

Checks off so many boxes, sitting on needles here waiting for the owners reply on our offer. We love all the windows, sedan body, two staterooms, galley, fly bridge arrangement, large salon slider, twin cummins, the list continues. I think this will be one we'll be keeping a long time.

Hoping to hear in the next one to two days if the offer is accepted.

The link doesn't work for me... :(

Fixed it.

Ok, it works now. Nice looking boat, wish they had put some engine room photos.

Oh yeah, sorry. I bought that this morning. Just kidding. Good luck. I hope it comes together for you. Nice looking floatie.

Looks like a lot of boat for the money. You will love the stabilizers. Good luck on the survey.

Nice vessel. I think the lighter maple works well in that layout. Interesting boat.

I've done the engine surveys on a couple of McKinna's. Found them to be nicely laid out and generally very nice boats.

Only complaint that sticks in my mind is that the little 6BTA's had to work pretty dang hard for (slow) planing speed. Would probably be better with bigger engines.

But both buyers understood this and planned to do 90% of their cruising at hull speed. With that type of duty cycle, the little engines should be happy.

Possibly Tony Athens could suggest a good Cummins engine surveyor since the vessel is in his general area. One thing to keep in mind, hopefully the vessel is currently propped correctly with servicing up to date.

Had to terminate this one. Rusty in all kinds of places it shouldn't have been. Things wrong that shouldn't have been.

Bummer. You had such high hopes for it. Sounds like you made the right call though. On to the next one.

How do you get the dinghy down from that perch?

Is that boat docked in MB, just south of the Hyatt?

From the pics, looks like they had it rigged up for fishing.

Too bad, because as a former weaponeer, I would have really liked the Rocket Launchers.

Sorry to hear there were issues with the boat.

One would hope at only 20 years it would survey (or pre-survey) okay. Were these ER issues?

I used Record Marine on Shelter Island to survey two boats, a 1999 McKinna 47 sundeck model which had some engine problems and my Californian 55. The McKinna was purchased by a guy who put a bunch of money into her and now is just again on the market. If someone wants one in San Diego, check Bob Brokaw Yacht Sales. Bob is a good guy.

Looks like a great boat in very good shape. Hope you get her

Issues go beyond the ER. Off line I am happy to discuss. Your welcome to call or email. I just don’t want to sour anyone else’s parade should they move forward.
