Web Poll and Market Update

2007 was a banner year for used boat sales and the used boat market contines to hold its on*even with*this economy.*

I've posted a web poll and the current market update from January 2007 for anyone that might be interested.

I don't doubt for a minute that 2007 was a banner year. It is now*February 2009 and a new paradigm is upon us. Boat sales are way down if you believe the boat show banter, especially from the lender's application staff.

Went to the "Boat Show" or what they call the boat show here in Richmond Va last saturday afternoon when they should have been crowded. Place was almost empty. In fact it wasn't worth they $7 to get in. Of course if ask them if they had sold any of a particular boat, sure sold 4 already. Didn't look like people were spending there bailout money on boats to me.

I don't know about boat shows, but I'll tell 'ya this ... I went to a gun, knife and bike show a few weeks ago and the place was packed.* The traffic was so bad trying to get into the parking lot I almost turned around and went home.

I came home with only a nifty spotting scope and a cheap pair of binocs.* The Tommy guns and Barrett .50's were tempting though!
