Well, he's a little bit of a hike from Falmouth, but we used Mike Pare' from Newport Marine Electronics. Despite the name it's actually based in Somerset, Mass. We were trying to do a significant electronics upgrade long distance from South Dakota, for a boat we bought sitting in Somerset. Mike was great - we shipped him a big box of parts and new equipment and he installed it all, and it all worked. He also did the work under a pretty tight window of time since we had a very detailed delivery and sail-away plan. New chartplotter, AIS, new vhf with satellite unit in the salon. On the AIS for example, those of you who have done it you know, you have to load or flash those things with a data file (transceiver, not just a receiver). Complex stuff, but he did every bit of it well, and didn't even require money up front - good trust level on both sides. Can't say enough good things about him.

If you have the ability, I would look around New Bedford/Fairhaven. There are more commercial guys there which remove about 15 to 20% from the 'yacht price'.
