Anybody here own or have knowledge about this boat? Please let me know what you think about it. Many thanks!

The MS 34s were nice boats in their day. But they are now 30-40 years old. Take a look at the rot porn thread. Many of these pics were from MS 34s. Virtually all have some rot, and leaking windows.

Unless you do the rot work yourself, you can never recoup the boatyard costs of repairing it.

But the basic design was great and the Perkins 165 installed in most is a solid engine. If you could find a rot free or almost rot free boat with a solid engine, then jump on it.

FWIW the MII has little or no boat deck overhanging the cockpit. I much prefer the MI for that feature, but that does steer you to older boats. Not sure if it matters whether the boat is 30 or 40 years old though.

The MKII was the "fishing" version of the MS line. The cabin is almost 2 ft smaller to make the cockpit 2 ft bigger. The flybridge does not overhang the cockpit as that would interfere with working a rod, the gunnel steps down at the cockpit to make it more "fishable" and all the ones I have seen or heard of have a 200 HP Perkins which actually gets this lightest version of the original MS line up on plane and the fastest of the I, III, or III.

Forward of the salon the galley, head and forward cabin are the same as the other models.

Some of the model II boats came with the old Perkins 160 and some also had a 200 hp Chrysler Mitsubishi engine. I would shy away from the latter as they are rare.
I also know of a few that were repowered and personally those would be the ones to look for.
