Lehman SP135 Correct Impeller?

Was checking the RW impeller and noted it has 8 vanes. Looked at an older impeller kept as a stand-by and noted it has many more than 8 vanes. Which is the proper impeller or does it matter?

I might add that I replaced the RW pump last year and the 8 vane impeller is the impeller that was installed in the new pump.

The correct impeller is Jabsco 1210-0001 which is a 12 vane impeller. There are also some other brands that are exact replacements for that impeller. That said, it's possible that you have a non-standard water pump. So before you order a new impeller, check the specs.
