I know it's just a drawing but man can't quit looking at Dynamo Too , another Devlin boat. Just made it my work computer background .
Yes I know I saw that about a week ago. I don't know why I look, it just makes it worse . I like the extended roof on Dynamo .Well the boat built from the original William Garden Dynamo design is for sale......Kintore......
1995 Bill Garden Halibut Schooner Trawler "Kintore" Power Boat For Sale -
This is a Roger Carey design that I was lucky enough to learn my boating in. It was my fathers for quite a few years. 39 foot and around 17 ton so fairly nuggety.

Swooning. A dream boat for sure.
More like a dream cave I'm afraid. Living "down in the hole" is a pain, always popping up the stairs to see what's happening.

In visiting the Netherlands this week, I was sorry to hear of Beelsnijder's passing a couple of weeks ago. I was able to oogle several of his designs close-up on the trip. All very nice.
For those of you aware of the reason for this trip, the survey went very well and we closed on Libra while we were there. Now just the long wait for the long voyage she will make.
A few pictures in the mean time....
The boat at the dock.
Her cooling fins that look like they may also act as bilge keels
Her flared rudder with 38x26 four blade prop
A couple of the hull sounding that show 10mm plate in the keel and 6mm plate for the rest of the hull all in as good as new condition. Surveyor said she will go another 100 years.
The markings on the hull also show lines and hatch marks denoting the cement in her hull for ballast. We are thinking over 16,000#.
these folks were not fooling around. this seems like quite the 'ship'.
Can't wait to see her home, this qualifies as 'interesting' for me anyway!
Sorry for the orientation challenge in the photos, could not figure out how to fix it......mods? Much better in real life.

TF forum member vonovik is about to build this Bruce Robets design.
Lovely lines; proper pilot house trawler.
Reminds me a bit of those beautiful Watson 60' explorer yachts...
...but $3m cheaper!
Less costly - Proper yachting term... don't cha know!
