I was heading south today in florida bay on my way to key west today, I pickup a crab pot, I was able to shake it loose. While trying to get my bearings I notced a large cat excatly where I thought marker should be. As i got closer I noticed The water line in bow he bow was about a foot above the water This beautiful 44' lepoard cat had taken a steel marker pole directly up the tunnel and was hung up . The rustly Ibeam was bent like a prezel under his boat. I manged to pull him free from his stern. And on my way I went  One tough cat

Holy smokes. Did he offer you $$$ to give him the camera chip. That's one of those experiences one would want not to leave any record of. I wonder if it was a rental.

Ha I agree, They were 4 latin guys and I could hardly understand them

Is that you swimming with the tow rope in your teeth?

Thanks Boatgm. That`s your genuine European polecat, isn`t it?
Had to search to check, also found Ebay has polecats at great prices. Just what you want curled up on the sofa.

As they say, never a good idea to use the chanel markers as waypoints for your autopilot . . .
