So Sorry to hear.

Got New one now a little girl named Puff.

Not a bird near my boat when she is around.

We boat with a vicious guard Lab. He keeps those evil seagulls at bay.

Good for you for getting another boat dog/furry friend/family member. We can't imagine cruising without Morgan.

When starting a new discussion you can start a poll with the discussion. Just scroll down to the bottom.

Most marinas do not allow live a boards to have dogs. We had a dog but she passed away. I grieved for weeks after. However, as longs as we are a NON dirt dweller we will not.

wingspar, truly sorry to hear of the loss of your dog. We had a thread with some great dogs earlier. I will put up a link to that thread.

Boat Dogs

Also, here is another picture of our boat dog, Troy. Here he is "nervously" (not really) crossing the Gulf Stream.

My daughter, lying on her dog, eating grapes, and watching Tom&Jerry.

One of my favorite pictures from this year.

At our marina, I've noticed more than one liveaboard-boat having three large dogs.

I like friendly dogs when they're someone else's dependent/responsibility. If I chose to have one, it would probably be the non-shedding Portuguese waterdog.

Angus and his sister like to ride in the skiff. They had trouble turning around on the sailboat.

We have always boated with dogs. All of them the same breed. Here is the current owner of our boat. The breed is Little River Duck Dog. The smallest of the purebread retriever breeds, it is the official dog of Nova Scotia (Little River is the place in NS where the breed is said to have orginated). The breed has an alternate, more cumbersome name but we much prefer the original name.

Looks like Puff killed one of your cushions all over the bow.

Sounds like a great dog! Did it take long to get the Newfieese out of him/her?

These are our boat dogs. Max is on the left and he is a rescue. Maddie is on the right and we got her as a puppy. They are great watch dogs. I lost over 20 pounds this past summer from taking them on walks every day.
