Yeah very sad. He wasn't my boy but I still got a bit sooky la la about it.

Really highlights the need for non slip surfaces and to be careful around wet surfaces that don't have non slip coatings.

Yes I agree, i was very impressed by the WA Water Police and their professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond without question in this incident. I will be sending a letter of thanks to the water police when I return to work tomorrow.

What have you got against Corporal Phagy? I knew Corp Phagy. I served with Corp Phagy. And you Sir, are no Corporal Phagy.

My Wheaten gets sea sick. No barfing, just panting and distress. Pity, but otherwise Wheaten are the optimum boat dog because of the no shedding.

Greetings,
Mr. Mahal. What I see is one pure bred, one mutt and one very attractive young lady.
Can't remember whether I've mentioned it in the 175 post thus far but Cruiser (North Carolina Redbone Coonhound) doesn't get seasick, "goes" on the foredeck with no problem, doesn't shed to any extent (I've yet to find a hair any longer than 3/8" on his body) and refreshingly enough doesn't drool (Dry mouthed hound). He came directly from the rescue shelter to the boat, spent 6 weeks on board and fitted right into the dirt house without skipping a beat. Wish I had a Picture I could post.

It used to be that way with Lolly. Now she only pants and shakes the first few minutes of our trips. But she enjoys the boat more when the engines are off.

Have you tried a Thunder Shirt? They are very calming for the dog. Work for sea sickness, car sickness as well as thunder storms.
