I am planning on doing the same thing. Like the idea of everything in a central location. However, what did you do with the compass?

Overhead bracket mount forward of the helm station. Alternatively, I may shield the interior of the new box and mount it on top.

Well, the pleather IS a tight fit on the console box...AND, we're always jamming to 80s hair metal....the pleather feels right at home!
