Ran into a product called SeaStation GPS which basically will hold your your (smaller) boat in one spot using the engines. It got me curious, has anyone developed such a system for larger boats that can interface with an electronic throttle/transmission and bow/stern thrusters? Wouldn't put one in but curious as I could see if being useful under some situations (being stuck waiting for the locks for an hour as an example).

The Twin Disc EC300 controller has a station keeping function that is programmable to GPS.
