I have been looking for a flat rubber gasket that goes on my fuel caps. It's a 1985 Marine Trader with original screw in deck caps.

I bought a large assortment of O rings from Harbor freight and found a size that works but it's not flat so I can't screw the cap in so that it's flush with the deck.

Anyone have a solution or a source for such a gasket/washer.

Get a piece of gasket material from an auto parts store and cut your own.

Flat nitrile rubber sheet stock can be had from Ebay. I have done that.

If you have a gasket or seals shop in your town they should be able to supply you.

:iagree: What he said. It's just like doing crafts in grade school with construction paper. Easy with a sharp knife or quality scissors.

(I recommend the ones from your wife's sewing box when she's not looking...:hide:)
