Fatal accident

We went thru the south channel in May on a boat delivery. Looks like the cruiser was tied to a wall, very sad situation when boaters aren't safe from drunks while docked.

Actually that picture is of the boat after it was towed to shore. Both boats involved were out cruising in the river. The Baja doing 40-50mph hit a couple of large boat wakes and lost control, went airborne and proceeded through the middle of the bridge. It's amazing only 2 souls were lost,I think there was 6 people on board. No injuries on the Baja.

I had no idea it was Bob or a 38 Bayliner when I read the article. I made the post because I was just thru the south channel in May. I thought from the pic that the cruiser was tied up when hit. My deepest condolences to Bob and his family

Bob is online on the BOC this evening- glad that he's well enough to touch base.
