My new acquisitions due to the latest trauma

I thought I'd share with you the stuff I just got at Biltema in Karlsrona, Sweden.

Cost all of $110.

Best money I ever spent.

Each light was only $25; the staff hook $30 & the other two things a few dollars each.

The story to follow, but I wanted to get the pic unloaded while internet is available.

I still have 1200 nm to go, like Florida to Maine.

Now wait a minute, Rich! Last year you said that the paravanes were the best money you ever spent. I was just about to purchase the same system when you came up with this. Now which is it?

What is a staff hook used for? besides hooking some sort of staff, I guess.
Pick up a mooring?

My suspicion is it's related to docking or tying to a mooring buoy at night under difficult conditions.

Getting UNTIED from stern mooring.
So the staff is on the end of the stern line. Tension keeps it in place.

When leaving, un-tension, and it will fall out.
