A Different Kind Of Boating

In Yellowstone and Teton/Jackson Hole with the extended family the past week. Did some class four rapids on Sunday for Father's Day. It was a blast.
We laughed when they said they would be asking us to jump in at the start of the trip so that we would not later be shocked if we did go in. Then we didn't laugh much when they were serious and we had to voluntarily drop into 46 degree ice melt and be dragged back into the boat.

My favorite river-raft trip was on the Salmon River. Worst part was putting on wet clothing in the morning. San Juan River was gentler and presented very interesting geography and remnants of prehistoric man.
