Here is a typical nice summer day in Puget a Sound.IMG_0034.jpg

Typical Carquinez Strait, looking west.

Looking westward toward the Golden Gate (northern span), via Raccoon Strait.

Photos are always good, so it's time to bring this back. Here are a few shots from my delivery trip this summer when I took over care of the boat (Stamford, CT on Long Island Sound -> Rochester, NY on Lake Ontario). If anyone wants to see more, I can post the link to the full album.

Leaving Stamford behind once we had enough daylight to run up on plane (after starting out slowly from a 5am departure):

Ok... You can pass already (and good thing he did, as I lost the port trans and fell off plane rather un-gracefully about 5 minutes after this):

Passing the Bear Mountain Bridge after a few days off for transmission repairs:

More locks to do:

Failed button on my trim switches, so had to do until I could get a replacement at the end of the trip:

That tears it. Murray, I’m coming to visit. Clear out the v-berth.

Here are a couple of my favorite scenery snaps from the Mohawk River. I’d been looking forward to that section for a long time, and it didn’t disappoint.

The third isn’t strictly a cruising pic, but the golden hour lighting was pretty spectacular departing Toledo last night.

Well, I'll have you know that Maple Leaf Adventures 88 foot converted tug, Swell, charges up to $10,000.00 for a five day trip between Kitimat and Bella Bella. I'm sure we can come up with some sort of equitable reimbursement schedule. I'll begin negotiations by insisting you supply a bag of tacos before you set foot on Badger :D
