Someone beginning to "sticking one's toe" into the Pacific Ocean:

All of my entrances to the Pacific Ocean (during lightship sailboat races in the 1960s) resulted in sea sickness. Never was a problem onboard a 900-foot cruise ship, however.

1) Kitkatla & Clouds
2) Wista 4x5 & Badger
3) Zain chilling while I photograph with the 4x5 in Kitkatla Inlet, Porcher Island, north coast BC, Canada.

We were at the top end of Kitkatla Inlet for three days and saw not a hint of anyone else. Being from mountainous Kitimat, it was like a lost world with HUGE skies.

A few of my favorites -

Dry Tortugas

My son and his friend contemplating life. He moved away last year and we picked him up while we were on a 16 trip and he stayed a few days with us.

Mermaid on the swim platform

My boys

The family on the Bahama Banks

The youngest (9 y/o in this picture) saw this starfish in about 10' of water. He jumped out of the dinghy and dove down to check it out.

I believe so. I need to go back to my logs to verify. In Japan now and logs in Virginia.

I believe so but without it blowing 30 and raining like a mother it is hard to tell. If I could smell Wanda's biscuits I could be sure.

Here are some pictures of me on the "Amstelmeer" (lake Amstel)
it can be totally windless at night and early in the morning. in the afternoon there is usually wind to sail or surf

its about one and a half ours away from my slip. I come here so often that I usually say that it is my own lake
