Coot Sundeck

Suppose that Mark's Coot would have been ordered with less of a masculine influence. Without its massive, mojo declaring mast, it would be a kinder, gentler craft, perfect for multiple feminine guests.

OK, now I want one!!! Beautiful!!

I think I can read "Coot" on the side of the sundeck. Do I see "Carquinez Coot" on the name board? The matching green/yellow canvas is a nice touch. Now he'll need a davit for the Trinka.

That's what was missing. Since I'm only three skips away for Mark, I'll get started on the refit tomorrow. Don't tell him.

I think we should enter that for the 2014 Trawler calendar! Then thousands more can enjoy Larry's handiwork.

Larry-I really like that it is canvas-enclosed-a definite plus for the Bay Area. It even looks like there is a little party room up there.

How could I have forgotten that. OK, here's the revamped edition with a bit of a canvas color change, the addition of the dinghy crane and trinka, and some white haired, sunny faced guy enjoying the fly-bridge.

I think all the added weight is making it ride lower in the water.

Finally a TRUE picture of Carquinez Coot. I knew those other ones with a mast and sails were just photoshop renditions.........

We like the Coot as it is: business-like; ready for action.

I couldn't agree more! I just love the look of the "Coot" and especially the way you finished her off inside. A serious work boat appearance, stout rails (which I love), the color scheme, side doors, sails, everything! You did a great job specing (sp?) her out and she'll deliver many years of enjoyment for you.

P.S. And I don't want to hear "oh, shucks" either!

I still have to question the bragging rights designed into the Coot's mast. When Mark approaches a harbor, his arrival is preceded by the towering vision of that massive, intimidating obelisk.....winning the "My mast is bigger than yours" contests wherever he goes. Noble Kings and Princes bow whenever he came, Pirate ships lower their flags when Coot roars out its name. Suspicious!
