There was also this tall ship anchored off Miami on the way down as well.

Then there was a full moon all night and into the morning.

Add all that to a almost glass calm day and night and it was a perfect ride down to Key West.

My idea of what running at night should be. Nice.

How have the weather and flies been? :D

Currently 65 degrees and rainy. Was nice yesterday in Chicago, but headed north for a couple of more towns we didn't get to earlier. Tomorrow 75 degrees with some rain and thunderstorms.

I was aboard USS Sacramento (center vessel) during an unrep just like this in the Persian Gulf.
Only difference was the turrets were facing outboard.

Hey Bob, were you on the Sacramento in the spring of 1991? If so, here are some pictures of your ship with you on it, on the way from Honolulu to Long Beach.

And the best part? Taken from the Missouri. And the even better part? I took 'em!

Note: Though I was on many ships while in the Navy, in this case I wasn't part of the crew, I was only a guest.

I actually flew over to the Missouri to fix her MARS station on that deployment! Small world.
