Closing!!!
Survey done with no surprises other than the hull was in great shape for a 36 year old boat. We close the first of next week!!! My three grown children, one daughter in-law and 4 grand kids from 4 years old to new born will be in town for 10 days starting this Saturday. The only use for the boat to start with may be an escape from the kids!
As the work begins on the new/old boat, I am sure there will be many questions and many answers from what I have found to be the best boat site around!
Yes pictures will follow at some point.....
Regards to all
Bill

since it is new to you I suggest that you and the wife go alone for a few excursions to learn the boat without all the distraction of passengers.

Great advice... thank you... I have no intention of taking any of the little ones until I am comfortable with the boat and all the necessary safety gear is on board.

I had the same boat, a 1983 FT-41 by Cheer Men. She was a great vessel, hope you enjoy yours as much as I did mine!

McGillicuddy and ljk
Thanks very much for encouragement. With retirement about 9 months away, I have to settle for the every other weekend drive from Philly to New Bern, which doesn't allow for much time. The "honey do" at the house may have to share time with the ta do list on the boat.
