In The Netherlands more and more shipping companies are experimenting with the shape of the Bow section. The end of the Bulb??

Yeah, I see them coming into the commercial offshore Oil & Gas sector as well. The design is referred to as X-bow (or sometimes in Europe as 'Crossbow'), created to smooth the ride out and be more fuel efficient, and developed by Ulstein. I see Wartsilla is now designing commercial vessels and I expect to see some revolutionary designs from them too.
