California Delta Salinity Barriers

For TFers who ply the waters of the California Delta:

I don't know exactly where you do your delta boating, but be aware that the California Department of Water Resources may be installing salinity barriers to minimize the influx of salt water into the fresh water areas of the delta. This could have some impact on your boating, depending on where you travel.

For more information, visit the Recreational Boaters of California web site, www.rboc.org, and keep an eye on the Coast Guard District 11 Notices to Mariners.

What a joke. If they just stopped pumping water to those farms out in the desert, there would be no issue to worry about.
I'm absolutely floored that the government has voters completely in the dark regarding water issues in CA

The general public really has no appreciation for the outrageous amounts of money and incredible accommodations and allowances we lavish on agriculture...
