Boat US escrow services

I was checking to see if they would do escrow services for me. This is the response I got back. Is this any way to run a business? Could anyone recommend an escrow service as I'm doing a private transaction?

"Please note if you are in a rush to proceed, we will not be able to provide service; it will take up to a month due to staff shortage"

Remember, BoatUS is not a "regular" business. It morphed over the years from basically a lobbying organization for the nation's recreational boaters into one that started provided a full slate of services to that very audience. Some of those services it turned out weren't necessarily their strong suit. At least they were honest and didn't say "Sure, we'll do that for you!" and keep you hanging...

Call me old fashioned, but I would start with a boat broker. If they wont do it, I'm sure they can recommend someone to you.
