Boat Name Change
I'm pretty sure this has been covered before but I can't find it so here we go.
I just completed the process of buying a new boat and I want to change the name. I know there is a ceremony that when performed will prevent the Sea-Gods from sinking your boat. My wife seems to be especially interested in getting this ceremony accomplished so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

I would help, but I believe that prior to assisting there is something about a bottle of Whisky. I have no wish to tick off Neptune.

Renaming Your Boat - BoatSafe.com
I was unfamiliar with the process as well, and it's been mentioned a few times here (that I've read.)

There are many web sites describing the process on the internet. It is a full fledged ceremony which requires a lot of Champagne.
Have fun

Whichever way you decide to go the more voyueristic among us would appreciate some fresh Nordic Tug porn. Nothing casual either take us straight to the engine room and pilothouse please.

Thanks everyone for your help. What a process! I'm ordering a case of champagne from Costco.
Here is a picture of the pilothouse, Craig. Sorry I don't have anything decent of the engine room.

Thanks Ron, that's what I call an office
If your re-naming ceremony calls for a virgin to pee in the bilge and you guys get stuck shoot me a PM. I can send my 13 year old son up to ya for airfare, his older brothers will be of no use to you for that part of the ceremony.
