Best Boatyard in SW Florida for Running Gear Repairs

We purchased our boat last summer and would like to pass on a good experience. I highly recommend C & J Yacht Service, located at MarineMax Boatyard, Ft Myers, FL; www.cjyacht.com; 239-707-2803; for any running gear inspection, diagnosis, and repair; repair and replacement of shaft logs, and bottom preparation and painting. C & J was highly recommended by our engine surveyor, Dan Mattos. Chad and Brendon of C & J did an excellent job of doing all what was necessary to get our running gear in top shape, including straightening the propeller shaft strut and rudder post, truing the propeller shafts, checking the cutless bearings, and refurbishing the shaft logs. During removal of the shaft log, Brendon noticed more tension on one side vs the other which indicated something was not correctly aligned. Upon further investigation Brendon discovered a slightly bent propeller shaft strut which was totally missed during the survey. Since the boat was hauled, we had the bottom painted and the boat detailed as well. All work was done at a reasonable cost and in a reasonable timeframe.
