Yup, I always thought that getting a little beaver could kill ya. This couple escaped and were lucky.

We have muskrats in our marina. They crawl up into the exhaust and make nests if you don't block them. A few years ago a boat in a nearby marina sank because of muskrats in the exhaust. I stuff a small fender up each side before leaving the boat.
