Depth finder on a Aluminum RIB ?

Anybody ever install a depth finder on a tender ?
I just want a depth in feet, no fishfinder.
I am looking for a unit where I would not need to power it by a 12 vdc battery.
Perhaps one with its own internal power supply ?

We have one in our aluminum hull RIB. I’ll check on the make and model. Why do you care if it runs off 12v? The only time we use ours is when the motor is running.

BTW, we have been surprised at how useful it is for checking out depths of anchorages.

I have a portable Humminbird. Has a battery and a suction cup transom transducer.

There are Humminbird and Lowrance units built for ice fishermen to cart out on frozen lakes. They have their own battery. I use a handheld waterproof unit if I need one:
