A promising day...

For nearly 5 months there has been hardly a board creak anywhere in the local marina.

Today, for 27 seconds, we hit 60 degrees.
The ducks were winking and head gesturing one another.
Wheelbarrows of railing, canvas and pickled elbows were in rush hour mode.
Brokers were out, away from solitaire and straightening pictures.
Blue smoke hung just above our heads like a mahjong table.

It's not the first of March yet but crews are stirring.
