First of its kind, this printed in only about 70 Hours, pretty amazing! It's made of some kind of wood/plastic composite....

I saw this the other day. Amazing what they are making with 3D printers. Not sure how seaworthy it is however, but a great feat nonetheless.

Actually looks pretty sturdy, sort of like a Boston Whaler.... i suppose they will be able to print in different colors eventually...

Is printed with carbon fiber reinforced ABS. This one comes with integral flotation built in. Tanks can be done likewise, as well as other features such as wire and cable ways.

Tru dat.

But materials can be changed on the fly with equipment like this, so a layer of poly pro or whatever plastic fuel tanks are made from can be laid in. The tooling is not tied down to one material, like a CNC mill can change tools depending on what is to be done.

Additive material tooling takes a different mindset from subtractive toolwork. Amazing stuff.
