Would you bid on something that price without even see it? Not me!

A 1968 vessel, aluminum and steel with teak decks. Anyone with even a thin knowledge of electrolytic/galvanic and poultice corrosion would be terrified.

A very large number of modern yachts are steel hull and aluminum superstructure. Chris Craft has done it longer than most. This is not some Thai leaky teaky. Roamers, if moderately cared for, are solid boats..

1000 gallons of clean diesel? Someone is / was delusional.

If you have the skills to return the boat to good condition, then it may be a good buy. If you're going to pay a yard, you'd be better off buying a new boat. Probably less money, too.

I am open to everything up to but not including this. Where to start...?

Why not? Mine sat for 3 years without leaving the slip before I bought it. We burned the 400 gallons in the tanks with no treatment, no problems. Didn't even clog the 10 year old Racors.

Full tanks sitting is a better bet for me than nearly empty tanks sitting.

Nostalgic collection of antique electronics!!!
