I was just looking thru the internet for some good pics of the yacht Freedom and a few similar vessels, and ran across this Youtube presentaion of the restoration of this beauty. WOW !

Restoration of the 103' Mathis Trumpy fantail yacht "Freedom"
Restoration of the 103' Mathis Trumpy fantail yacht "Freedom" -- McMillan Yachts - YouTube

After shooting the stills and a little video of the completed project, Earl McMillan asked if I knew of anyone who could make a piece about the restoration by using all their footage and images from over the years. I brought it to David Berez, Post Office Editorial, and he edited this piece for them. Wow. Anyone in the business of restoration usually drops their jaw while looking at this massive project. Great work guys!

In the still pic I see she's moving at about 1/2 hull speed making hardly a ripple. Looks like the FB was an add on.

My father had a 103' boat too. She had a hull much like a KK 42 and was 21.5' wide. A 10 knot boat w a 500hp 268A DD.

I was noticing the the similarites here;
1) the fwd helm station
2) the aft cabin/saloon area with big windows
3) the awning out over the fwd deck
4) the good size aft deck (which you can't see here)

....this Pilgrim owner added a flybridge and the awning out over the fwd deck
