Ten months or so ago I started a thread asking for advice and/or ideas concerning whether to replace the single-lever engine control with a newer on or switch to a 2-lever control. It's taken almost a year to get our Motor Cruiser, the Du NORD back in the water with a rebuilt transmission (Sound Marine Diesel) and a new Telemark-Morse 2-lever engine control but we are finally back in he water.

The delay was due to a Winter that carried much too far into what is normally Spring here in N Illinois, and then a string of family obligations.

It took a day or two to get used to the new control, but it looks as though it will work fine for us. Here are pics of the new unit as well as the original.

We've just returned from a couple of days on the Mississippi launching at Sabula, IA. It was our first experience on that River. We hope to return for the Fall Color next month.

Well done MN! Sure do love those Albin 25's. Just insanely practical boats IMO.
