The search for more rain

Hi all,

Finally returned after an adventurous trip between Puget Sound and SE Alaska. Recent retirement allowed sufficient time to make this trip last all summer season, which is the way it really should be done. One of my trip goals was to stay off the grid, so I haven't been posting or even checking email for much of the summer.

July 4 – depart Juneau, Couverden Cove, Flynn Cove, Neka Bay, Hoonah, 7 days in Glacier Bay, then Tenakee Springs, Pavlof Hbr, Funter Bay arrive Juneau (Auke Bay) July 18.

July 20 – depart Juneau, Taku Hbr, Snug Bay, No Name Bay (via Rocky Pass), Pt Baker, Coffman Cove, Thorne Bay, Ketchikan, Kah Shaks, Judd Hbr, Prince Rupert, Newcombe Hbr, Campania I (Estevan Sd), Borrowman Bay (Aristozabel I), Stryker I (via Beauchimin Ch), Fury Cove (via Hakai Ps), arrive Port McNeill Aug 4.

Aug 6 – depart Port McNeill, Sointula, Growler Cove, Port Harvey, Sidney Bay, Cordero I anchorage, Octopus Is, Drew Harbour, Open Bay, Evans Bay, Von Donop Inlet, Gorge Hbr, Comox, Tribune Bay, Nanaimo, Ganges, Prevost I, Fisherman’s Bay, Chuckanut Bay, arrive Bellingham Aug 28.

Aug 30 – depart Bellingham for a San Juan I cruise, Spencer Spit, Fisherman’s Bay, Roche Harbor, Wescott Bay return to Bellingham Sep 12 – end of adventure!

Total miles traveled: 3240.8

Engine hours: 508.0

Total days onboard: 4 months, 12 days

Unexpected maintenance: 2 hours out of Edmonds on May 2, high output alternator bearing started to complain, replaced with spare. Alternator rebuilt in Port Angeles and shipped to Ketchikan for pickup.

I'll post a few pics next week along with my fuel summary. Jay

Jay,
That's really wonderful. So many wonderful places. Been to many of them and I'm waiting for the pics. And of course you've been to many places I've not been. Wish we could have connected in Thorne Bay but we may not have been there either.
