Hi all, I live in Santa Cruz, i was thinking of bringing my two boys to SF to watch the AC3 race tomorrow. I see there are public venues to watch teh races from including grandstands. I was wondering if anyone knows which venue is the best to watch from. Or are there free venues that are better. I dont have a boat in the bay, so that is out of the question and I dont want to pay $200/head to go on one of the charter boats. I am hoping one of you have some inside scoop as to which venue would be the best to take my boys 5 and 10 to walk around and get the best AC experience and to view the races (my ten year old is fascinated by these boats as we all are). I was 13 when I went to my first AC event and remember how exciting it was to walk around Newport at the time. (watching the races then wasnt so exciting since there was hardly any wind)
All replies appreciated!
