TF Gathering in SE Florida 2018

The friendliest place on the web for anyone who enjoys boating.
If you have answers, please help by responding to the unanswered posts.
Baker, don’t miss your flight. We need experienced reinforcements. Al’s good but this is his first year.:lol:

Last night was a hit. We had 18 like minded boaters on Hobo and no one fell in. After, we closed the Barbecue joint with plates of wings, ribs and pulled pork plus a few local craft beers. :)

We’ll be on Moonstuck, B. Dock, but stop by Hobo to fill your flask (A Dock) first.

Oh no not Baker. Lock up all your liquor and hide all the rum. LOL

Al

I thought we all agreed not to tell Baker where we are going to be.

Baker is the reason for the season! If he hadn't started this all, we would never have met in the first place. First we should toast him, then we can roast him.

Cheers!

OK. Now we know who to blame for this reprobate party. :)

BTW how was the night in the porn star house? Steve is a true porn star I was told.

What time does the party start & how do we get onto dock “B”?

1800 is what I was told and I’ll wait near the gate and go in with someone. LARRY can publish the code but he may be thrown out.

I should add that tomorrow we will start drinking at 1700 or before if anyone comes early and Watfa is planning of feeding the crew around 1900 depending on how drunk the crew is.

We are about 45 minutes out. We still gotta check in. So we will barely make 6 but we will be there.

If anyone else is coming tonight and needs the gate code, send me a pm by 5. The electronic devices will be shut off after that as per Lena. That’s our sop when alcohol maybe be involved. :whistling:

Yeah. Definitely began to see the signs of the TF gang arrival in Ft. Pierce today.

Just keep the noise down so we can sleep in Longboat Key for the next two nights. Have to rest up for our imminent road trip back to the frozen NE. Hold this rendezvous a week earlier next year please so it fits into our rental dates. I'm bummed that we couldn't have met FlyWright and some of you others that we haven't met yet.

It became quite clear last night why Don puts these rendezvous together. He sets the beer coolers and pizza on the dock to distract the husbands and then corrals the wives in his boat. He's quite the sly old fox.

Greetings,
Re-read my post #403. Drunk women will kiss any number of frogs at the drop of a hat. Sober women...not so much.

Knowing Don over the years through TF, I could have predicted that!

Don's not the only one having fun.

Pink hat included Al! Hate to miss the fun, but the snow is great out here:thumb:

Al and Baker before they were REALLY drunk. The ladies flock (yes, that’s the proper spelling) to Don. The one advantage to getting old, everyone thinks your safe. LOL

A good time was had by all on Don’s boat for pizza and beer night. Tonight it’s the hard stuff and Larry will not be allowed to have any glass bottles in his hand. Sippy cups for the girls.

The final party ... a wonderful spread put on by Watfa and Irv on their beautiful boat Gotcha. Thanks for being such great hosts. :thumb:

Pure spin from TF Minister of Propaganda Jack/Steve (aka SoF). Certain monies changed hands and certain officials looked the other way. I’m told the salvors should be finished with Gotcha later this afternoon. (I think SoF gets a cut.)

Now this part is all true. The hosts/hostesses could not have been more welcoming. The boat tours left most of us salivating and the anecdotes, advice and sharing of experiences were simply the best.

Thanks all.

Agree, beautiful day, beautiful people, beautiful boat and no arrests or injuries. Thanks to all :D

Thank you for the hospitality! It’s was nice to meet a few of the members. Sad my vist was so short. Next year..... more than one beer

It was a fun time, the boat will recover I’m not so sure about Watfa. Thanks to all for coming.

Highlights of the party is that Steve and Parker finally met. Ted is really a funny guy and really opened up, great sense of humor. Scott is the same drunk or sober. Homo has owners that are a perfect match, Larry drops a beer on the dock near Don’s and Lena drops a glass of red wine on our teak deck (runs in the family). Everyone got a prize or two even if they didn’t want it. Al got the long distance award but there was a protest as he didn’t come by boat. It was nice putting a face to TF posts we have been reading. Next year more have to come as it has grown every year.

A special thanks to Ladies Man Don and Lou and Larry (who gives more of himself to others than anyone I have ever known) and Lena for organizing this terrific outing. Everyone sincerely appreciates your efforts.

Already looking forward to next year

It was an epic event! Irv, how many did you have aboard Friday night? Your ship sure handles a large group of revelers very well. And the hospitality shown by Watfa and you was tops! Thanks so much for hosting all of us, the incredible dinner and drinks and the fun gift drawing. Jack and I were back at the Taj Mahal and both used our led switch lights within 5 minutes! I found it serendipitous that Moonstruck won the 2000 gph bilge pump on the day his dripless shaft log sprung a leak. Glad he got it fixed fast.

As noted by the others, Larry/Lena and Don/Lou deserve kudos and badges of courage for allowing us to enjoy their fine vessels like we did! I was so impressed by the caliber of the boats. And Ted's sLow Hand shows his forethought and attention to detail. Incredible vessels one and all.

I didn't know what I'd find in meeting all these imaginary friends. What I learned was that each and every one is a person I'm proud to call real friends. Top caliber folks who project an online persona just like their real personality. No fakes or wannabes here. Cheers to one and all!
