Have any if you out there cruised to Samana Cay in the Bahamas, if yes did you have a good experience? Thanks

We spent a week there and were the only boat other than a local boat that was harvesting conch. Getting in an out is a challenge. There's a pass just east of Propeller Cay. It's narrow, with a dog leg. You'll need to eye ball your way in with the sun high or behind you. On leaving, we marked the channel with water bottles from the beach using cotton line so we could leave at day break. Great beaches and good in all weather. Definitely worth the visit.

Thanks for the reply. I think we're going to stop over there for a few days in June. Did you fish and snorkel? Thanks again

The only fishing we did was inside the reef with a Hawaiian Sling and was very good as was the Snorkeling. Conch were everywhere in 10-15 feet of water. We had settled weather.

If you continue south to Mayaguana, make sure you fish around the east side of East Plana Cays. We had some of the best fishing in Bahamas. Fish either the north or south side of the shoals depending on the tides.

That sounds great. We're planning on some free diving for some Hogs there and then heading south. We'll definitely try that fishing area. Thanks
