Anyone know if this segment had been dredged yet?
I know they’ve been north of IOP.
Was considering a Charleston to Georgetown trip next week but I draw 5 ft.

Thanks In Advance.

There was a tight spot last year S of McClellansville just north of the Bulls Bay muni boat ramp. We draw 3' and it was sketch at low tide. Not sure if they dredged that, but our low tide transit was about 10mo ago and a bigger boat got stuck.

Plenty of tide swing there so if you can time it for high, you will be fine anyway.

As of March 29th, Waterway guide has it listed for spring of 2019 as opposed to completed.

Went through there last week. Wasn't dredged but no worse than ever. I draw 4 feet and went through at near low tide.

If worried, rule of thumb as always .....half tide rising

Passed through southbound 3.5 hrs into a 4.3’ high, saw 4-5 ft on the sounders, and was following the general depths posted by COE nov 2018. Must be a soft pluff mud bottom.

Hopefully that segment is on the priority list, along with behind IOP between the 2 bridges.

All the user comments on Waterway Guide were spot on from Winyah bay to Chas.
