Fernandina Beach for shrimp festival 2013

I'm thinking about cruising up to Fernandina Beach for the shrimp festival in May. Anyone have any suggestions/guidance?

Been there many years ago. Ton of fun. Lots of great food and drink.

I suggest making reservations as soon as possible.

Also, festivals such as this usually have web sites so I would check there for events, entertainment, etc.

When I was there last May, we had dinner in a dingy little Italian restaurant on the main street. Don't go there.

Arte's Pizza. A block or so north of the main street. Not your normal pizza place, but much more. Food was good.
