Stu-L, is the hinge broken or just laterally sloppy?

Mine were the latter. I pressed nylon tubing into the worn brass holes, replaced the fully threaded bolts with socket head cap screws sized to have the non-threaded bolt shoulder make contact with the new bushings. They're now snug & smooth....but in need of re-chroming.

You might try Mineys in Costa Mesa I think. They have rooms full of used boat equipment.

That looks a lot like the hinge Hatteras used in that era (and they used quite few Perko items then). Call Sam's Marine in NC 336-824-6765. Not cheap, if they have them, but they do list the part or one similar to it.

Agree that one of the marine surplus and salvage places that handles takeoffs from boat yards is a good place to start. I'm not up to date on the west coast ones though.
