Has anyone removed the side entry door beside the helm? Mine needs repainting, I think I can do a better job with the door at home, like when I removed the flybridge steps to re-varnish them. I`m guessing there are similarities with other makes, like GB. Do the top and bottom track ends come off, too bad if they do, just varnished them too. Any ideas? BruceK

On our boat the sliding doors ride on a 3/8" bronze track, if you remove the track the door side out at the bottom of the door with the track and down. Have to use a putty knife and hammer to cut through the one screw I could not access with the door open or closed.

The tracks on Adagio are Teak and the end of the track has a wood piece that is easy to remove once you dig out the bungs covering the screw heads.

Thats how ours came off. We fitted a piece of styrofoam insulation board into the opening while the door went home for work.
