Dimension (height) for an Island Gypsy 36 Europa

Hi,

A question re dimensions - we are in the process of buying an IG 36 Europa - its in Melbourne and I am going to have it trucked to Brisbane - (perhaps the same distance Orlando to Washington DC) and I am worried about the height.

I assumed I would have to drop the bimini and mast plus the perspex windscreen (and supports) on the forward edge of the flybridge - not a really big task BUT now a few people are saying that the whole flybridge should come off, because its too tall - now thats a really BIG task.

So, can anyone help with the measurement - bottom of keel to the top of the flybridge combing immediately in front of the instrument cluster ie how tall is it - not just the air height.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

George

I don't know about the 36, but our 32 Europa is 16' 3" (5 meters?) from bottom of keel to top of bridge windscreen frame.

David,

Thanks for the comment. My gut feeling is that there probably isn`t too much diference between the two: the 32 and the 36.

When and how did you measure - is there a story there?

cheers

George
