Over the next couple of days we are going to be making some changes to the site to improve security and stability and you may see some slow page loads as systems update. App users in particular may have trouble connecting until service providers and app installations update. There are some things you can do if your app is acting up to help improve connections.

Clear your devices cache
Uninstall the app
Cycle your device off and then on
Reload the app

If this is unsuccessful, waiting a few hours and then repeating the process may be all that's needed. In the interim, this site has a simple mobile version that is quite nice - no app needed. All you need to do is navigate to the site on a regular browser and the mobile view should open.

We understand that not being able to log in through usual means causes frustration but we take site security seriously and these are needed updates. Thanks in advance for your patience. :)

Not using app, getting constantly logged off.

Please double check to make sure the 'remember me' button is checked next time you log in.

A new "feature" of the web site is that if I don't check "Remember Me" I am logged off immediately after I log on. Wondering why this is a good thing...

And, the same new feature appears on the Cruisers Forum web site.

Get it on! Janet H

We tough Ol' Salts can take it! At least most of us anyway!!

LOL :D

Do we need to tick the "remember" box every log on?

If you have enabled cookie exchange and are not deleting session cookies when you leave the site you should not have to reclick the box. If you are remving all cookies at the end of your session, then yes, you will need to reclick every time you login.

As of this afternoon I keep getting error msg on TF Android App...
I tried to clear cache -uninstall - shut down - restart - install...same error

A couple questions on how the app works...Android devices

I can only find a way to respond by quoting another post...then erasing the quote if I don't want it...is there a way to reply w/o quoting?

I cant fint a way to start a new thread when using the app I have to go to the pc online version...is there a way?

Thanks

Yes, but the method depends on the veiwing platform. We have a proper mobile app - downloadable from the app store (free).
On android after you have opened the area of the forum you want to start a thread in (must be logged into site) look in the bottom right corner of your screen for three vertical dots. There is a link to start a thread.

On the mobile skin (no app needed) which you see by default on a small device if no app is installed, you log in, navigate tot he forum area you want to start a thread in and then look for the menu link in the top left. The mobile skin is newish and quite nice - you might give it a try.

On the Android app, is there an easy way to find new posts as there is on the website?

not that I have found but maybe someone else can chime in w a suggestion.

I would have to admit that I generally use the mobile skin - faster, better and fewer updates... ;)

On the iPhone app this is the way it's done David
