It there. Right click in the text that you write and ensure that "check spelling" has a check mark. Then questionable words will have a wavy red underline. Highlight the questionable word and suggested spellings will be shown.

Depending on the browser you are using you should already have one built in. Firefox comes with a spell checker. If you are an IE user, you can download a nice freebie what works with all internet posting. Here's a link to download ieSpell.

If there are truely spelling police, I'm in serious trouble...

There is a difference between a profile picture and an avatar. I suspect you posted a profile pic. Most of us made that mistake too. Go back and look for the upload an avatar tab.

At the top of this page click on the FAQ tab.

On the next page click on Reading and Posting Messages tab.

Click on the Editing and Deleting your Posts tab.

Or just click here Trawler Forum - FAQ: Reading and Posting Messages

If the time has run out on your ability to edit or delete your own post simply PM any moderator or click the report post function for the particular post you wish to delete. In the message tab request the post be deleted along with the reason why.

dwhatty, CP and Janet H,
Thank you. I've got spell checkers everywhere. This i-pad even tries to out guess what word I'm in the need for. Often handy and quick w the spelling but typing w one finger means I'm not looking at the screen and when I look up sometimes I can't figure out what I'm say'in. I'm learning though.

Thanks Elwin, I saw I can upload a new avatar, but not how to add words to the existing. Meantime I did add a signature, to similar effect. I admit to technology incompetence.

Mr or Ms administrator. Is there a way to change a poll.

I have started a continuous thread and would like not to have to start a new thread with every question to run a new poll.
Is there a way to do this?

Post a new question and start a new poll in the same thread?

No. Users only have a finite amount of time to edit their posts. Beyond that, you will need to start a new thread.

We can change your username but... The name Wanderer is already in use. Once you have figured out what name you would prefer just send me a message or click on the contact link at the bottom of the page and submit the request there - it can take a day or so be a bit patient.

Did not see that item anywhere? Trying to begin new post. As a new question rather than reply to an existing one.
