Could someone advise how to edit my profile. All I'm finding is e-mail update. Thank You!!

Click USER CP in the top red banner. (CP stands for control panel, I believe.) This will open a page with all sorts of options for editing your profile.

How can Steve make a larger, more visible avatar?

Loading a larger size file.
The one he has is only 12KB in size, I believe you can load one up to 100KB.
