Go to "User Details", and you can set your preferences to show the most recent post first. In the "Profile" box on the top left, select "Settings". Go to "Order of Topics", and select "Last Modified."

One change that might help is if the "first, previous, 1, 2, next, last" page data that's on the bottom of the page of a multiple page thread could be duplicated at the top of the page. That way a person wanting to read the newest posts to a topic could go right to the last page as soon as he/she opened the topic. Some of the other forums that use similar (or the same) forum software application as this one do this, so I'm guessing it would be a relatively easy thing to do here.

Also, Marin, on the far right when you see a thread that has an "age" posted on it( like "1hr 32 min ago"), click on the "age" and it will take you directly to the last post.*

John--- It didn't occur to me the age was a link. That's a neat feature.

Carey--- I should be used to seeing last messages first as that's how our e-mail formats here at work. But for whatever reason I instinctively like to have the first stuff first and the last stuff last. Maybe I think it helps me from jumping to conclusions before learning the background, not that I still don't jump to conclusions
