Horseshoe or pivot davits for inflatable?

We are still trying to figure out whether to stay with the 10 year old 9.6' Achilles with air floor, or to go with another type of dinghy (porta-bote)

If we stay with the Achilles we will have a few minor repairs.* The real issue is that we don't want to invest a lot in a davit system for a dinghy we may only have for a short time.*

We came across a webpage for pivot or horseshoe davits (Roche Marine).* The distributor in the US says it is fine for an inflatable with air floor.* We can't seem to get an answer to some of our questions such as will the ends poke into the floor as it is lifted up; how to enter and exit the dinghy without the ends poking the floor.*

Does anyone have any experience with the type of davit system?
